Fellowship Programs

The Program on Geriatrics has two Post-doctoral Fellowship Programs. Below is a brief explanation of each along with candidate eligibility requirements.

Geriatric Medicine

This Section of our Website outlines the Fellowship in Geriatric Medicine. Under the Directorship of Dr. Margaret Drickamer this program is open to qualified M.D./D.O. candidates who have finished a internship and residency in an U.S. ACGME accredited program in Internal or Family Medicine who have completed rotations in geriatrics. We accept J-1 Visas for both the one year Clinical and two year Clinical Educator Track.

Geriatric Clinical Epidemiology and Aging-Related Research

The second Post-doctoral Program is the T32 Training Program in Geriatric Clinical Epidemiology and Aging-Related Research. Under the Directorship of Dr. Thomas Gill, this is an NIA-funded training program open to MD and PhD candidates who are interested in pursuing an academic career in aging-related research. It is open to all internal medicine subspecialties, nursing graduates, epidemiologists, and biostatisticians. Due to its NIA funding, qualified applicants must be US Citizens or Permanent Residents.

More information regarding the T32 Training Program and application materials can be found under the Training link in the orange bar menu.
